Getting pregnant takes two bodies. Most plans only measure one.

Your cycle gets tracked, tested and timed. His rarely does, even though sperm takes about 74 days to make. Take the 2-minute women's Scorecard to get your score and a custom 90-day plan for both of you.

You shouldn't be the only one with a plan.

Apps, supplements and appointments tend to land on you. One of the fastest numbers to measure and move is often his.

About 1 in 6 adults worldwide is affected by infertility.

World Health Organization, 2023

The CDC recommends 400 micrograms of folic acid every day for anyone who could become pregnant.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Sperm counts fell 62% between 1973 and 2018, and the decline is speeding up.

Levine et al., Human Reproduction Update, 2022

Four steps, both of you, numbers that move.

  1. 1

    Measure

Track your cycle and get the labs your doctor recommends. He gets a lab or at-home semen analysis.

  2. 2

    Remove

For both of you: alcohol and nicotine down for 90 days. For him: heat too.

  3. 3

    Build

A prenatal with folic acid for you, and food, sleep and training for both of you.

  4. 4

    Retest

Check in at day 45, retest at day 90, and bring the numbers to your doctor.

Question 1

What the research supports, and what it doesn't.

What the evidence supports

  • Folic acid before conception, recommended by the CDC.
  • Not smoking, for both partners.
  • Keeping alcohol low.
  • Knowing your fertile window.
  • For him: less heat exposure.

Where the trials disappoint

In a trial of 2,370 couples, folic acid and zinc supplements taken by the men did not improve semen quality. A supplement stack is not a plan.

Schisterman et al., JAMA, 2020 (the FAZST trial)

Questions

Is the Scorecard free?

Yes. Answer seven questions and you'll get your score and a custom 90-day plan for both of you.

My partner isn't interested. Where do I start?

Start with his number. An at-home kit is private and quick, and it gives him something concrete to improve. Send him the men's Scorecard.

Is this medical advice?

No. It's education and a plan to take to your doctor. It doesn't diagnose or treat any condition.

We're already planning IVF. Is this for us?

Yes. The same 90 days come before any cycle, and your plan applies either way.
